We got a chance to chat with the turtleneck-loving star backstage about his own sense of fashion and which of his Breaking Dawn costars he thinks has the best sense of style. So which fashion-forward Twilight hunk gets Emmett Cullen's seal of approval?Jackson Rathbone!

From CompanyTaylor Lautner has been signing up to a range of projects since filming on the Twilight Saga finished for good.One movie will be with indie director Gus Van Sant, and Taylor's said that there's good reason for his search for a range of roles.He's thought hard about where he'd like to be in ten years, and who he'd like to be similar to in his choices, Taylor told us:"If I'm still acting in ten years that would be amazing, and I just want to continually challenge myself to do something different."If I look at the actors who I've looked up to my entire life - the likes of Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio - they've always played a variety of roles. "That's the dream."

But now I'm used to the screaming and the occasional grabbing," Lautner said. "The first time it ever happened I was like, 'WOAH! What's going on? Why are they screaming? I make love in the limo! Belonging to Robert Pattinson, fabulously wealthy man who wants it all and loses it all! It sounds like Cronenberg, doesn’t it? Director of photography, Peter Suschitzky, lights up each shot like a painting. Robert and I were alone in the car with a camera and a microphone, and we could hear David’s voice coming from a distance: we would redo a take, then another one, etc. There was something clinical about it, which for me was a change from Amos Gitai or Abel Ferrara.

Robert Pattinson/BEL AMI Extended Scenes: Seduction and PoliticsTwelve minutes from the latest Robert Pattinson film, an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's Bel Ami, have been uploaded online. Those consist of five brief, disparate scenes from the movie, all of them featuring Pattinson. (This Bel Ami online video — please scroll down — was initially posted at Robert Pattinson Life.)
Set in a church, in the first scene Pattinson's ambitious ex-soldier Georges Duroy plays (very determinedly) a game of seduction with Older Woman Kristin Scott Thomas. In the second, Pattinson convincingly plays a drunk Duroy in a cabaret. That's when he runs into the obnoxious publisher Charles Forestier, who will inadvertently assist Duroy in his ascent in Parisian society.
The third scene is set at the Forrestier dinner table. The issue of class is all too apparent — Duroy doesn't know which knife to use — and so are the various seduction games despite all the surface talk about life in the desert and French colonial politics.
Even though Pattinson, Christina Ricci, and Uma Thurman are perfectly fine — Pattinson's facial expressions, a mix of shyness and self-assertion, are particularly impressive — the scene-stealer here is Scott Thomas: "I was told that the [desert] sands … sing?"
In the fourth scene, Duroy performs a different sort of seduction, as a little girl falls for her playful "bel ami." The brief follow-up scene features Pattinson/Duroy and his conquest Ricci/Clotilde de Marelle in his dingy apartment.Though a low-budget production, Bel Ami — as its trailer (and even its poster) promised — is gorgeous to look at. Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod's period drama has already been shown at special screenings in several Belgian cities. Even so, Bel Ami will have its official World Premiere on Feb. 17 at the Berlin Film Festival. Adapted by Rachel Bennette, the film's cast also includes Colm Meaney, Natalie Tena, Holliday Grainger, Pip Torrens, James Lance, and Todd Peterson.

The trailer for the fifth and final "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn Part 2," will debut exclusively on "The Hunger Games" in March -- the first significant example of synergy between Lions Gate Entertainment and its new subsidiary Summit Entertainment.
When the studio acquired Summit in January, Lions Gate executives touted the opportunities that would come from bringing together two of Hollywood's hottest young adult franchises.
Because fans tend to get excited about seeing the first trailer for a highly anticipated sequel, Lions Gate is betting it can bring the huge base of "Twilight" fans to the opening weekend of "The Hunger Games," which debuts March 23.
"'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2' trailer will debut exclusively on every 'Hunger Games' print on its opening night for what will be Lions Gate's largest release ever," Santa Monica-based Lions Gate's chief executive Jon Feltheimer said on a conference call with analysts Friday following the release of its financial results.
While anticipation for "The Hunger Games" is high, the film is still a risk for Lions Gate, which spent nearly $100 million to make the picture before the benefit of tax credits and international pre-sales.
This is the studio's biggest film budget to date. The company is counting on a successful launch for the March release to not only generate immediate profits but create momentum for three planned sequels. "Breaking Dawn Part 2" will open in November.A successful launch for "The Hunger Games" will help Lions Gate to replace Summit's "Twilight," which ends its run on the big screen with the fifth installment. Four previous movies have grossed a total of $2.5 billion worldwide and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in profits.
Asked on the conference call whether there could be a sixth "Twilight" film," Lions Gate motion picture group co-chairman and former Summit co-chief Rob Friedman said that was entirely up to Stephenie Meyer, author of the teen vampire books.If she were to write a sixth book, he said, Lions Gate would eagerly support it with a big screen adaptation. Having an idea is one thing, but having a great team pull together and understand my vision is essential in delivering great work. We have just finished and delivered the final main title sequence for Ol Parker’s ‘Now Is Good‘, and I want to take this opportunity to thank my team for a job well done.
They are:
Executive Producer Dominic Buttimore and Producer Mark Farrington at Th1ng in Soho, where the sequence was produced.
Senior Designer Dean Wares, who as always, was involved in the initial design concepts with me and created all the hand-drawn type for the titles as well as the original line illustrations seen in the sequence.Rotoscoping Artist Chris Walker, who’s job was to extract Ms. Fanning from every frame (no pretty green screen footage for us!). A time consuming feat indeed but Chris pushed on relentlessly and as a result we were able to treat Ms. Fanning’s performance with a nice, illustrated animated sequence.
VFX Director Sean Martin, who was responsible for bringing to life the original idea and building the sequence. By tracking the original footage in a 3D tracking package, Sean was able to find where the camera was in the live scene so he could then create an After Effects camera to move in the same way. He then was able to bring together the layered illustrations onto a 3D stage to replicate the original footage in our illustrated style.

Who’s excited for the DVD release of Breaking Dawn tomorrow at midnight?! To get the inside scoop on the beautiful wedding scene that’s sure to inspire tons of upcoming weddings, we caught up with wedding designer Tammy Polatsek, the woman behind all of the amazing design aspects of Edward and Bella’s wedding.

Where did Polatsek get her inspiration for the scene? “Since the wedding took place in a forest, we wanted to mimic the life that a forest can give you,” she said. “We drew inspiration from the surrounding trees, stones, ferns, and everything else that grows in a forest.”

Wisteria cascading from the trees, hand-strung by a group of 20 people, created an intimate feel at the ceremony.

“My absolute favorite was the ceremony!” said Polatsek. “So dreamy and worth the hard work. The flowers that fall from the trees as she walks down; just a dream!”

The biggest challenge? The weather! “It was freezing, and the flowers had to be replaced on an hourly basis at times.” And, much like Forks, it rains “500 days a year,” said Polatsek.

“We had the nightmare wedding all done—custom white stage, stunning, all ready to go, and—boom—rain!” said Polatsek. “We covered everything and planned to shoot the following day, but when we came back, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. An animal went from the mud to the stage that was so nicely painted and made foot prints all over it!”

At the reception, the goal was to make the centerpieces “grow out of the tables.” The centerpieces used delphiniums, viburnums, white lilacs, ranunculus, and sweet pea, plus stones, ferns, and moss. “We didn’t want the typical rose/hydrangea combination. That was too arranged,” said Polatsek.

Polatsek custom-crafted the dishes used in the movie, and you can even get your own set here.

The whole wedding scene took almost four weeks to create. While Bella and Edward’s wedding décor would’ve cost about $300,000 by Polatsek’s estimate, you can get the look and feel of the Cullen wedding for less.

“Anything earthy and real to nature will bring in that look,” said Polatsek. “Use a green, white, and brown combination, and keep it simple. Nature is beautiful; you don’t need to overwork it! No tall vases; things don’t grow in glass filled with crystals.”

Michael Sheen May Join Teen Thriller Mariah Mundi And The Midas Box

Across the pond the YA adaption craze continues with London's Entertainment Motion Pictures' plan to produce a teen thriller based on G.P. Taylor's Victorian-set fantasy-thriller Mariah Mundi and The Midas Box. Jonathan Newman, who wrote and directed the Mandy Moore/Martin Freeman rom-com Swinging with the Finkels will helm the adventure, which follows the journey of a teen boy who discovers a mysterious box in the basement of the opulent Prince Regent, where he's employed.
Writing team Rob Sprackling and John Smith (Gnomeo & Juliet) and Gavin Scott (Small Soldiers) have been tasked with translating the first book in Taylor's optioned trilogy into a family-friendly romp, which Newman's described as a mix of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter.
While that is a preposterous amount of hype to level on Mariah Mundi and The Midas Box, the project is at least off to a good start as Variety reveals the films' producers have entered into negotiations to cast Michael Sheen (Midnight in Paris), Sam Neill (The Hunter), Lena Headey (300) and Ioan Gruffud (Fantastic Four).
Should they sign on, Sheen would play Captain Charity, a dashing adventurer in the vein of Indiana Jones, while Neill would depict a dastardly villain with Headey as his slinky sorceress colleague. There's no word on who might be cast to fill the role of the feature's title character, or whom Gruffud is in talks to play.

When it comes to driving a speedboat, Robert Pattinson is not nearly as suave as vampire Edward Cullen. And you might think Kristen Stewart is no dummy, but she is, at least in some scenes.That’s just some of what we learned from the extras on the “Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” DVD, coming out Saturday:

• “I went for a lesson and crashed the practice boat,” Pattinson admits, sheepishly, when explaining his prep for his character’s honeymoon jaunt with his bride. “And then I went to Brazil and crashed the Brazilian boat, too. I am definitely not nautical.”

• As a sickly, pregnant Bella, Stewart had to appear to drop from 110 pounds to about 70 pounds. Filmmakers used a combination of digital effects, prosthetic appliances, makeup, lighting and a horribly emaciated, life-size and lifelike doll. “I’ve always wanted to hang out with myself,” Stewart says of her doppelganger.

• Author Stephenie Meyer always envisioned that Bella’s wedding dress would be designed by the likes of Carolina Herrera, so that’s who was hired to help create the lacy, 1920s-inspired gown for the film. “I wanted the dress to be something really special,” says Meyer, who was also one of the film’s producers. “Not something you’re going to see every day. Not something you’re going to pick out at a store somewhere.”

•Say what you will about the talking-wolf scenes — they were even funnier for the actors. Jackson Rathbone, who plays vampire Jasper, explains that he had to wrestle giant beanbags to simulate the CGI critters on the attack.

“The hardest part about shooting these scenes,” he says, “is not laughing the entire time.”The DVD extras include a six-part making-of documentary, a glimpse into “Jacob’s Destiny” for fans on that team, a director commentary and a — sorry to say — cheesy “wedding video.” The film recently surpassed the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office. “Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” the fifth and final installment, is set to open Nov. 16.

EW Calling all Twilight fans! If you are planning to pick up The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 DVD (available Feb. 11) you should know that there’s an entire second disc of bonus features, including a six-part documentary that chronicles the ins and outs of this very action packed (Marriage! Honeymoon! Pregnancy! Totally insane birth!) movie. In this exclusive EW clip, it’s all about the wolfpack and their climactic battle with the Cullens towards the end of the film. (And if you don’t want your wolves-are-real illusions shattered, we suggest you don’t continue onward.)
The choreography and special effects and stunts were all carefully thought out and planned to the very second in order to make the scene look as realistic as possible. Funny then, how hard it is for the actual actors to pantomime fight scenes versus the air, or in some cases, a not-so-ferocious beanbag.
My favorite part? Watching Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) explain that the hardest part in shooting these dramatic scenes is trying not to laugh.

My friend and I arrived outside the NBC studios and at 4:30 to wait for Kellan, when we had only two people waiting with posters of Twilight.We did not know if I would get there, since studies have three doors, but we were waiting. Every car that came shouting "There, there is Kellan ....oh no, it is Kellan, "and when it is under a woman cried and my friend told me something I heard as" is super famous ", but actually I was saying it was Kellan, and saw him, coming to us . I said I do not know, as I said, but finish the camera holding and passing it to the Coni for me to take a photo. I hugged him with both arms and said something like "ohh, big hug, i like it" and embrace me with both hands ... then signed some autographs and took pictures with my friend while we said it "Kellan, we are from chile" "where", "chile", "ooh, cool" ... and then, signed the subway map of New York (yes, twice for the same map lol).

People passing us wondering who he was, and Kellan said nobody understood, to say Twilight, everyone wanted a picture with him.His agent told him as "Kel, we have to go now," and promised that his departure would take all the photos in the world, so you still waiting, but apparently word got out and I get a lot of people (those things that lead to the strong cast everything and then sell) and there were many great men, so when he left his verdaderasfans were after him, although it is noted to his agent, asking him to turn around saying that their Fans were behind it ... it came back to take a picture with us and we autographed Ashley Lucky magazine, if only we had autographed a so Coni shouted "for her too, please kellan" lol (yep, we were not prepared to autograph us something of him or Twilight) and she said "oh! Ashley ". Then he asked for a hug with a kiss and we gave it, really was incredible.People stepped on us and threw hair Coni, so shout "Oh, my hair" and I tease him Kellan to stop.

His bodyguard told him he was 5 minutes or lose the plane, so I sign a little closer to those monkeys with papers to sell and went ... definitively a great experience!
